6th Grade Math Spiral Review Escape Room Week 2 Day 5

6th Grade Math Spiral Review Escape Room Week 2 Day 5
Math, Grade 5, 6, 7, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Teacher Tools, Activities, Escape Room

Are you searching for a way to keep previous skills fresh in 6th grade math, but don’t have the time to prep activities for your class? Looking for a dependable daily spiral warm up to incorporate in your routine? Then look no further, Mini Math Escape Room - Mission 5. This digital review activity is self checking and intended to be a spiral review or warm up that can last approximately 10 minutes. Students will be held accountable for showing their understanding of previously learned skills while completing a small goal. Instead of finishing a regular worksheet, they are completing a mini escape room! The structure in each mission is the same, but with different problems to solve and a different code to unlock. Here is how it works, students must solve 5 math problems on one interactive page. They must use the first digit of each answer to create a 5 digit code. If the correct code is entered, the mission is complete and they will be congratulated. If an incorrect code is entered, nothing happens and students are encouraged to go back and analyze their work to try to improve. This escape room is self-checking but doesn't require teacher feedback! Skills covered in this review include 6th grade level concepts that are important to expose students to repeatedly: Greatest Common Factor (GCF) Adding fractions with unlike denominators Finding percent of a number Solving one-step equations Unit conversions These skills are repeated and spiraled throughout missions, as to help students continue to remember them instead of forgetting after a test at the end of the unit! Included in your purchase: 1 mini digital math escape room (Mission 5) 5 math problems on one interactive page A printable worksheet version Answer key and final code This mini escape room activity works perfectly as a daily warm up or bell ringer, end of the day review, for early finishers, or as a sub plan in a pinch! Since it is no prep and self checking, you can easily assign it without notice. If you're searching for a simple and effective way to incorporate daily math practice and review in your classroom without overwhelming students, assign Mission 5 in your classroom!

6th Grade Math Spiral Review Escape Room Week 2 Day 4

6th Grade Math Spiral Review Escape Room Week 2 Day 4
Math, Grade 5, 6, 7, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Teacher Tools, Activities, Escape Room

Are you looking for a low-maintenance way to give your students spiral review EVERY SINGLE DAY to keep their 6th grade math skills sharp? With Mini Math Escape Room - Mission 4, you can do just that! You can use this short, self-checking digital activity as a daily warm up! Each Mini Math Escape Mission is a 10 minute digital escape room with five math problems that reveal a code to "escape." The escape room aspect adds a little motivation, but doesn't take up too much time or turn it into a huge production. It is focused and structured! To complete the task, students answer five math problems on one page. They take the first digit from each correct answer to create a 5-digit code. When the code is entered correctly, the escape is successful! Incorrect codes do nothing (there is no "incorrect!" message or hint like on a Google Form), so students are prompted to go back and check their work. This makes the activity 100% self-checking! Skills covered in Mission 4, which are important to review continuously throughout the year in 6th grade, include: Greatest Common Factor (GCF) Adding fractions with unlike denominators Finding the percent of a number Solving one-step equations Unit conversions These concepts are spiraled throughout the whole series, so students have a chance to continually review instead of forgetting about a concept once the unit is finished! Included in this resource: 1 mini digital math escape room (Mission 4) 5 math problems on one interactive page A printable worksheet option for flexibility Answer key and final code included This mini escape room can be used as a daily math warm up, bell ringer, end of day review, early finisher activity, or emergency sub plan! The set-up is predictable for students, and the no-prep aspect makes it easy to assign for teachers! If you are looking to implement a simple, effective routine in your classroom that promotes long-term retention of skills, this is the resource for you!

6th Grade Math Spiral Review Escape Room Week 2 Day 3
Math, Grade 5, 6, 7, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Teacher Tools, Activities, Escape Room

Maintain your daily class routine by using quick, high-quality math rounds like Mini Math Escape Room - Mission 3! This resource was created for use in real classrooms with real schedules: it is short, sweet, and will not overtake an entire class period. This is a 10-minute digital math warm up where students use their skills to work toward unlocking a lock. The "escape room" format motivates students to get through routine practice! The process is routine: students solve 5 math problems on one page, then use the first digit of their answer to make a 5-digit code. If the code is correct, the mission is complete. If the code is incorrect, nothing shows up and students are prompted to go back, find their mistake, and try again. This format builds in self-checking and rewards perseverance while requiring no extra grading from the teacher! Mission 3 emphasizes spiral review of important skills, including: Greatest common factor Adding fractions with unlike denominators Finding the percent of a number Solving one-step equations Unit conversions These skills spiral throughout the series rather than being practiced in isolation. What you get in this resource: 1 mini digital math escape room (Mission 3) 5 math problems on one interactive page A printable worksheet version Answer key and final code This mini escape room would be PERFECT to use as a math warm up or bell ringer. This resource is designed to work as a daily warm-up or spiral review that should only take about ten minutes of class time! Mission 2 is set up just like all of the other assignments, making it easy to use and understand. Each day is structured as a new challenge, rather than a worksheet. Students will solve five problems on the same page, and from each answer, they will use the first digit to construct a 5-digit code. When the answer is correct, they will receive confirmation that their mission has been completed! If the code is incorrect, nothing happens, so students are encouraged to go back and check their answers. This system rewards student perseverance while holding them accountable, and makes the activity self-checking! Skills included in Mission 2 have been thoughtfully chosen for spiral review throughout the year. Students will practice: Greatest common factor Adding fractions with unlike denominators Finding the percent of a number Solving one-step equations Unit conversions These skills are repeated throughout multiple missions so that students remember them for life, instead of just for one lesson! 6th Grade Math Spiral Review Escape Room Week 2 Day 1
Math, Grade 5, 6, 7, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Teacher Tools, Activities, Escape Room

Are you looking for a way to keep 6th grade math fresh without spending time on prep? Mini Math Escape Rooms are meant for exactly this purpose! Each is a fast, self-checking, digital math warm up, that you can use for spiral review, bellringers, or when you want to fill 10 minutes of spare time. Mission 1 is a 10-minute digital math escape room in which students must solve five math problems to find a numeric code. These problems will be in the same order and format each day, so your students will learn the system quickly and be able to complete a mission each day all year! Here is how it works: Students solve 5 math problems on one page. From each answer, they take the first digit of the number to find a 5-digit code. When they input the correct code, the mission is complete! If the code is incorrect, nothing happens, so there is no chance for students to guess and get hints about which answer is incorrect. This encourages students to go back and check all of their math before submitting their answer. The math skills are varied to promote spiral review. You'll find students: Find Greatest Common Factor Add fractions with unlike denominators Find percent of a number Solve a one-step equation Convert units These skills are on a rotation and spiral through as you complete missions. What is included: 1 mini digital math escape room (Mission 1) 5 math problems on one interactive page A printable worksheet version Answer key and final code This resource is super flexible; use it for your daily math warm up, bell ringers, early finishers, a review at the end of the day, or sub plans! Short Vowel U Pronunciation – Dialect Support for Spelling -uck / -oo
Free Download

Short Vowel U Pronunciation – Dialect Support for Spelling -uck / -oo
ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Spelling, Special Resources, Kindergarten, Teacher Tools, Presentations

The short Vowel 'u' Sound: This short video was created to support pupils who are not using a standard English dialect , where the pronunciation of the short vowel u differs from standard pronunciation and begins to interfere with reading and spelling. In particular, it addresses confusion that can arise once CK words (-uck) and later -ook words are introduced (e.g. duck/book ). This resource is not designed to teach beginner readers who are learning to decode and spell short vowel 'u' words like 'run' and 'mud'. Rather, it is intended for children who can already read and say short u words accurately in context (e.g. sun, run, jump ), but who struggle to distinguish between -uck and -ook when writing because the child's pronunciation of 'uck' has merged with 'ook'. The video aims to help the child develop one clear, standard sound for the short vowel u to use for reading and spelling, while recognising that other pronunciations may exist in everyday speech. At this learning stage of phonics learning, children rely heavily on the sounds they hear, and if they are coping with mixed dialects, it can make learning to decode and spell much more difficult than otherwise. The video works slowly and deliberately. The child says the vowel sound, then says the word, listening to match the 'u' sound each time. Once the sound and individual words are said successfully, we introduce short phrases, aiming to keep the standard 'u' sound throughout. Beautiful pictures make this feel like a special resource - not fo.rr babies. There are no actions, songs or games to distract, just calm listening and speaking practice. This resource is particularly suitable for: dyslexic learners pupils with dialect-related sound confusions children whose spelling relies heavily on what they hear 1:1 or small-group work home practice with parental support It is designed to be used little and often . Instructions are given at the start of the video for parents/teachers. The Short U sound video targets a surprisingly common problem and helps children to progress. What is included: 1 video of 9 minutes in duration
