Geometry Proofs Worksheet and Practice Test with Answers

Geometry Proofs Worksheet and Practice Test with Answers
Math, Geometry, Grade 9, 10, Tests, Teacher Tools

A 15-question, 115-point "Geometry Proofs Group Practice Test" bundles most of a first geometry course 's proof and construction topics into one collaborative assessment , from two-column triangle congruence proofs and CPCTC to compass-and-straightedge constructions of an angle duplicate, a perpendicular line, and a triangle's incenter, circumcenter, and centroid. Additional questions cover the midpoint and distance formulas, writing a line's equation from a point and slope or from a parallel line, an arithmetic sequence's nth-term formula, and an algebraic - not just visual - justification for classifying a triangle as acute, right, or obtuse from its three side lengths. The test is explicitly built for small-group work: students may use a calculator, compass, straightedge, notes, and each other, and are told to call the teacher over when stuck, with the whole test weighted at only one-quarter of a regular test. A full answer key follows, filling in every numeric answer, each triangle's congruence statement and postulate, both construction diagrams, and a worked algebraic write-up for the final triangle-classification question.

Project Template US States for MS Word

Project Template US States for MS Word
Social Studies, Government, History, History: USA, Geography, Grade 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Templates, Teacher Tools

This is a Microsoft Word template for group/project work about the states of the United States of America. Each page contains a title, a small outline flag and a map of that state. The maps have only state borders, no cities or other things. Students can use these pages as a starting point for their project work. This file is editable, so the teacher can give students these pages as Word documents, and students can then fill in the information with their own device. Or, these pages can be printed out and students can create their posters on paper. The value of this document is to provide pictures that are hard to draw so that the students can focus on the content. For that reason, this is suitable for many grade levels. The pictures are at the bottom of the page so that students who are not so familiar with technology can more easily fill in their text. You can of course move the pictures around, if you want to. The font that is used is Seymour One, a free Google font. If you want exactly the same look as in the preview pictures, it is advisable to download the same font, but it’s not necessary. The states are in alphabetical order. The flags are of black and white outline style for easy printing and coloring.
