Social Media Safety word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this social media safety puzzle set for my 4th and 5th graders during our digital citizenship unit. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the social media safety vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether you should accept friend requests from people you don't know. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple phone, speech bubble, and lock drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Spelling Crossword On the Farm
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Language Development, Vocabulary, Spelling, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, Crosswords Puzzles, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
This crossword puzzle about all the things you can find on a farm. This is designed for spelling practice but is also suitable for elementary students as back to school or holiday activity. When you fill the crossword correctly, you will find a hidden message! In this crossword, there are images as hints and the students have to name the images to the horizontal rows of the crossword. The lines are connected so when the crossword is filled correctly, a hidden message will appear in the emphasized vertical row. The hidden message will be: Farming is a part of agriculture. The benefit of this kind of crossword puzzle is that once students understand the simple concept, they are able to proceed themselves regardless of their level. The answer of the crossword is on the second page, but students are able to tell whether they are right or not. If the hidden sentence is meaningful, then have done it right. If it doesn’t make sense, they will realize that; and then they can co-operate with their classmates to find the right solution. In other words, this worksheet is self-checking. This is a print-and-go and ready-to-use resource which can also be added to centers , or provided for substitute teachers. As this particular crossword is a bit on the longer side, I would recommend this for small groups or pairs. Individual work is also possible. There are also other spelling crosswords like this in my Teach Simple page: https://teachsimple.com/contributor/thebrightestkid There are 27 words in this crossword such as horse, silo, greenhouse, goat, flour, wheelbarrow, turkey and harvester. Answers are included.

Life Cycle of a Bean Plant word search, scramble and crossword puzzles
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Life Science word search, scramble and crossword puzzle activity ⭐ I made this bean plant life cycle activity for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our spring science unit. The kids were mixing up "germination" and "seedling" so I needed something low pressure but still useful. It's a word search and a word scramble combined on one page. Nothing fancy. ⭐ The PDF is two pages — one student page and one answer key. I added a tiny seed drawing but kept it simple so it prints fine in black and white. The scramble trips them up on "cotyledon" every time which is actually good because then they ask and remember it. Word search is easier so I use that one for early finishers. ⭐ Works for grades 2 through 4. Print and go. Sometimes I tell them to pick one word and draw the stage it belongs to on the back. Takes about 15 minutes depending on the kid. They like it better than a worksheet.

Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether Hammurabi's Code was fair or harsh. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple ziggurat and tablet drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one fact about cuneiform writing on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Foreshadowing and Flashback word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this foreshadowing and flashback puzzle set for my 4th graders during our reading unit. The kids could enjoy a story but had no idea what words like foreshadowing, flashback, or clue meant when we talked about how authors drop hints or show the past. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like foreshadowing, flashback, clue, hint, remember, past, predict, author, and mystery. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the literary device vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a flashback and a memory are the same thing. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple clock, magnifying glass, and before and after drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write a sentence using foreshadowing on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
