Parts of a Seed word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this parts of a seed puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our plants unit. The kids could say "seed" but had no idea what was inside or how it grew. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like seed coat, embryo, endosperm, root, shoot, germinate, cotyledon, and sprout. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help them remember the parts.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up "cotyledon" and "endosperm" a lot. The crossword I use for partners. I added a simple labeled seed drawing but nothing too busy.

Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw a tiny seed and label its parts on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
