Math and Technology Crossover word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this math and technology crossover puzzle set for my 4th and 5th graders during our STEM integration unit. The kids could do math on paper and use tech tools, but they had no idea what words like spreadsheet, calculator, or graph meant when we talked about using computers to solve math problems. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like calculator, spreadsheet, graph, data, program, code, algorithm, equation, formula, chart, table, computer, screen, keyboard, and solve. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the crossover vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether using a calculator is "cheating" or just a tool.
