Will you need extra elements to use this sheet? Yes, the children will first need to cut out the cards and then they will need to use pencil or colors, markers, crayons, to review the letters. If you want it to be a more didactic work, you could laminate or laminate the primers so that the children can go over them using markers and thus they can erase and reuse them again and again. Another advantage of this type of work is that if they make a mistake, they can erase the line and do it again.

First off, there's a digital quiz. It's a PDF, so you can just pop it up on the screen. Kids get to see a word, and a picture of it, and they have to say if it's a short or long vowel sound. And get this, it tells them right away if they're right! So, they learn as they go. Then, there are digital flashcards. They use the same words as the quiz, so it all ties together. You can even choose if you want them to focus on just short vowels or just long vowels. It's up to you. And if you're more of a paper and pencil kinda person, no problem. There are printable flashcards too. Two different sizes, so you can pick what works best. They have all the short and long vowel words in them. Basically, this thing is perfect for little kids, like preschool to second grade. But honestly, anyone who wants to get better at those vowel sounds will find it helpful. It helps with spelling, and vocabulary, and just getting better at reading in general. It's a really good way to make learning fun, and that's what's important, right?

This is a bingo game that practices all the grade 3 high-frequency sight words. Along with that, this resource features a bunch of flash cards that you can use to introduce and practice these words. You can choose to print them with sharp edges or curved ones, though I prefer the curved ones. Otherwise students might hurt themselves on the edges, which is something we'd like to prevent altogether. Now with this resource come a bunch of Bingo sheets. So just print out the flash cards and draw them one by one. The students can now cross the words off from their very own bingo cards. Once they have filled out the entire card, they can yell out the magic word, which is of course BINGO. You csn decide for yourself if you also want to attach a prize to this in order to motivate your students even more. Finally, there are word lists.

Allow students to independently practice blending and reading CVC words with these Short A CVC Word Read and Reveal Cards! Teachers will love the independent nature of these cards! What is Included: There are 29 CVC words included in this packet, all with the short A vowel sound in the middle. Included in the packet are illustrated directions on how to put the cards together. How to Use: Students will get a card for the pile. Students will practice reading the word on the card, using the dots and arrows as a finger guide to reading the word. Once they feel confident that they know the word they read, they will open the card to reveal a picture of the word they read. When to Use: Literacy Center - Students can work independently or with a partner to read these short a words. Morning Tub or Basket - The cards can be placed in a morning bin for students to work on as students arrive to class. Small Group Activity - The teacher can choose a small group of students or a specific group of words for students to work on in a small group setting with the teacher. The fact that the teacher can easily choose which words to include inside a center or activity, allows the teacher to easily differentiate this activity for her students. The bold, colorful, easy to recognize pictures allow students to complete this center independently, by providing pictures they should already recognize that match the words they are practicing to read. The cards do require some prep work to put together, but once created, they will provide a long term center or activity for your classroom. They need to be printed, cut apart and folding into thirds to create the read and reveal nature of this activity.
