Pronouns word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Pronouns word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Pronouns word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this pronouns puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our grammar unit. The kids kept saying "Sarah went to Sarah's room" instead of "Sarah went to her room" because they didn't know how to use pronouns. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like I, you, he, she, it, we, they, me, him, her, us, them, my, your, his, her, its, our, their, and mine. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the pronoun list finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether "it" is a pronoun for everything. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple pointing finger and person drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers rewrite a sentence without using any nouns, only pronouns, on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

ELL Science Vocabulary for Newcomers word search, scramble and crosswo
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

ELL Science Vocabulary for Newcomers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this science vocabulary puzzle set for my newcomer ELL students during our first science unit. The kids knew some basic words but had no idea what words like soil, plant, or water meant in the context of science. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like plant, animal, water, air, sun, soil, rock, land, ocean, cloud, rain, snow, wind, and earth. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the basic science vocabulary finally stick for students who are new to English. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent work. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether soil and dirt are the same thing. The crossword I use for partners or as a warm-up before a lesson. I added a couple simple plant, cloud, and soil drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 3rd grade, especially for English learners who need extra visual support. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw one science word and label it on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

World War I word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

World War I word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

World War I word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this World War I puzzle set for my 4th graders during our social studies unit. The kids had heard of the war but had no idea why it started, who fought, or what words like trench or alliance meant. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like World War I, trench, alliance, Allied Powers, Central Powers, Europe, battle, soldier, weapon, tank, plane, submarine, armistice, peace, and veteran. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the key vocabulary finally click. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about what made World War I different from earlier wars. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple trench and helmet drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one new weapon used in WWI on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Word search & scramble puzzle worksheet activities for kids 2nd and 3rd grades to 4th and 5th grades, also solution for the puzzles is included ⭐ This document contains a word search and a word scramble activity. Visual elements are incorporated to enhance engagement without causing distraction. Stagecraft Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Stagecraft Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this stagecraft vocabulary puzzle set for my 4th graders during our theater unit. The kids loved being on stage but had no idea what words like backstage, fly system, or follow spot meant when we talked about what happens behind the scenes. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like stage, backstage, wings, fly system, curtain, set, prop, costume, lighting, sound, follow spot, spotlight, headset, stage manager, cue, blackout, trap door, and crew. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the stagecraft vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or drama class. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether the fly system actually flies actors or just scenery. The crossword I use for partners or as a review before a school play. I added a couple simple stage curtain and spotlight drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one behind-the-scenes theater job on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Numbers 1–100 word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Numbers 1–100 word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this numbers 1–100 puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our math unit. The kids could count but got tripped up on the tricky number words like "forty" versus "fourteen" or "eighty" versus "eighteen." So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using numbers twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, one hundred, and mixed teens like fourteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the number word patterns finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether "forty" has a U like "four." The crossword I use for partners with number clues. I added a couple simple number chart and star drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 1st through 3rd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write the missing number words for 70, 80, and 90 on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Self-Regulation Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this self-regulation vocabulary puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our social-emotional learning unit. The kids could get upset but had no idea what words like regulate, control, or pause meant when we talked about managing our bodies and feelings. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like calm, breathe, pause, think, choose, regulate, control, body, feelings, safe, space, and focus. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the self-regulation vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether taking a pause is the same as giving up. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple calm cloud, breathing star, and brain drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one self-regulation strategy they use on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
