Students will learn to:
-Combine powers when the base is the same. To start simple, the first page has only multiplications with two terms and same bases. The second page has multiplications with three terms and the next page up to four terms, to increase the difficulty level gradually. (chapters 1-3)
-Turn expressions with negative exponents to fractions. The first tasks of this kind will only have one term, to keep it simple. (chapter 4)
-Writing multiplications of 2-4 terms as one power, when they have the same base. (Chapter 5)
-Simplify powers before calculation the result. In this chapter, we use only numbers, and bases are the same. (Chapter 6)
-Simplify before calculating with different bases (Chapter 7-8)
-Write fractions as multiplications/negative exponents (Chapter 9)
-Apply what they have learned to more complicated expressions including also addition (Chapter 10)
-Practice your skills and pay a special attention to when you can combine powers and when not (Chapters 11-13)
