Six plain sentences, "He is drinking coffee," "I don't like bananas," "The camel has a baby," are rewritten by students to insert descriptive adjectives that add detail to the original statement. The single-page activity gives no example rewrite and no word bank, leaving the choice of adjective entirely open to the student, so any grammatically appropriate descriptive word satisfies the task. Blank space beneath each sentence is provided for the rewritten version. Beyond the six sentences and a one-line instruction, the page carries only a publisher web address and no further scaffolding, vocabulary bank, or follow-up exercise. The same open-ended, single-page format is used for other parts of speech in the verbs activity, where students define a verb and generate their own examples instead of adjectives.
