Alebrijes - Just for fun, and as a reward for your hard work, you’ll find “alebrijes” throughout the workbook to color. Widely popular Mexican alebrijes are whimsical carvings most often depicting fantastical animals with brightly colored, intricate designs. Alebrijes are typically made out of paper mâché, or carved out of wood, and are a modern cultural symbol of Mexico.
