Apple Tracing Worksheets

Use these apple tracing mats to help students build their fine motor and prewriting skills. By allowing students to use a variety of writing utensils to complete these worksheets, it helps build hand strength in little hands that help prepare children for learning to write.

What is included:

There are 10 different tracing mats included in this set: apple (7 different mats), apple pie, apple tree, and caramel apple. Most of the mats are available in color as well as in black and white.

How to Use:

Students will pick one of the tracing mats to complete. They will choose a writing utensil (pencil, marker, crayon, etc) to trace their image. Once traced, students can trace the word at the bottom of the page. If using a black and white copy, students can color or decorate the image.

When to Use:

• Fine Motor or Writing Center- The tracing mats can be placed in a fine motor or writing center for students to complete independently during center time.

• Morning Tubs - The tracing mats can be put inside a morning basket or used as morning work for students to work on while waiting for classmates to arrive to class.

• Quiet Time Activity - This activity works well for students who do not nap. Once classmates are asleep, students can work quietly trace each image.

• Sub Plans - These are great to include in a substitute folder, as this activity is easy to assign and keeps students engaged.

These tracing mats are no prep. They just need to be printed out and placed in the desired area with a variety of writing utensils for students to complete.
