⭐I made this biomes of the world puzzle set for my 4th and 5th graders during our geography and ecosystems unit. The kids kept mixing up tundra, desert, rainforest, grassland, taiga, and temperate forest. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using those biomes plus words like savanna, permafrost, and deciduous. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help them tell one biome from another.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about how to spell "savanna" (one n or two?). The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple mountain and tree drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 3rd through 6th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick one biome and list one animal that lives there on the back. The kids actually like these.
