About This Product

This clothing size sort work task box gives students real retail stock room practice: match size tags to dividers, put racks in size order, and catch the item that does not belong.

Why I made this: Size sorting is one of the first jobs a new stock room worker gets. My students can match a letter to a letter, but a full rack from XS to XXL with one wrong item mixed in is real reading and checking. The torn tag cards are on purpose. On the job, you do not guess. You set the item aside and tell someone.

What’s included:

- A 22-page PDF

- Level A ●: 12 item cards with large size tags to match to letter-size dividers, 2 of each size from XS to XXL

- Level B ■: 24 rack tickets to put in size order, 12 with letter sizes and 12 with number sizes

- Level C ▲: 24 rack checks, each with one twist: 9 wrong sizes to pull, 9 racks out of order, and 6 torn tags to set aside and report

- A letter-size divider mat, a rack mat, 24 size tag tokens, a size order reference, and a set aside mat

- 3 practice pages, one for each level

- An answer key for every card and practice page, with each Level C twist named

- A data sheet with prompt levels (I, G, V, M, P) and a 10-session accuracy graph

- A try-it-for-real setup with a 5-item supervisor check, plus blank cards

How to use it: Teach the size order chart and count the sizes out loud together. Level A uses the divider mat, Level B uses the tokens and the rack mat, and Level C uses the cards alone. Every card has a self-check code. Take data, then move to a real rack with donated clothes.

Who it’s for: Secondary special education teachers, 18-21 program teachers, and job coaches who want a quiet, independent work task that builds toward retail and thrift store placements.

Format: PDF, US Letter, 22 pages. Print in color or black and white. Level markers use a word plus a shape, so they work in black and white.
