⭐I made this tundra biome puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our habitats unit. The kids thought the tundra was just "snow and cold" and kept zoning out when I tried to explain permafrost and adaptations. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like permafrost, caribou, arctic fox, polar bear, snowy owl, lichen, migrate, and blubber. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to keep them learning.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them talking because they argue over how to spell "permafrost" or "caribou." The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple snowflake and paw print drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick one animal and write how it survives the cold on the back. The kids actually like these.
