El Restaurante Fantástico – Spanish Food Role-Play

Students can order a meal in Spanish using vocabulary for drinks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, fruits, vegetables, and dessert.

Students can name the eight table-setting items in Spanish (el tenedor, el plato, la servilleta, and others).

Students can count out play money in Spanish to match a menu item's listed price.

Check access to and preview the recommended YouTube video before the game so students arrive with the basic food vocabulary the role-play assumes.

Print the menu, flashcards, and place settings on cardstock and laminate them, as the file recommends, so the set holds up to repeated play.

Add the play-money counting step once students are comfortable with the food vocabulary, since the file frames it as an optional added challenge.
