How do the two kinds of square differ?
One kind prints a subject pronoun with the verb blank - JE ____, VOUS ____, ON ____ - and the other prints the conjugated form with the subject blank, as in ____ RECEVRA or ____ RECEVRONT. A player supplies whichever half is missing, so the same drill runs in both directions across one board.
Can a blank-subject square have more than one right answer?
Several can, and it is worth using. RECEVRA fits il, elle or on; RECEVRONT fits ils or elles. Asking a player for every subject that works turns a single square into a fuller check of the paradigm.
Is anything on the board in English?
No - the board is French throughout. The ends are marked dÉPART and FIN, the rule reads "Le premier joueur qui arrive à la fin gagne la partie!", and the special squares read AVANCE DE 5 CASES, RECULE DE 5 CASES, REJOUE !!! and TU PERDS TON TOUR.
