What is Included:

This resource includes a total of 6 build it counting mats with a variety of Halloween themes. The themes include a haunted house, cauldrons, Halloween candy, tombstones, monster numbers, and witch hats.

The bold and colorful Halloween images will allow students to have fun with and stay engaged with practicing counting to 10.

How to Use:

Students will use one mat and one set of stackable counting cubes or building blocks. • Math Center - The teacher can place the mats and counting cubes or building blocks in a math center for students to complete independently or with a partner.

  • Small Group Activity - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice with counting to 10.

Skills Assessed:

These build it counting mats not only allow students to build their fine motor skills, but they also assess students' ability to count to 10. The mats also allow students to express their knowledge of using one to one correspondence to count to the designated number correctly.
