Music Industry Careers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this music industry careers puzzle set for my 4th graders during our career exploration unit. The kids could name a few jobs like singer and guitarist, but they had no idea about the many behind-the-scenes careers that make music happen—like sound engineer, music producer, and talent scout—or what words like producer, sound engineer, and agent meant. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like musician, singer, guitarist, producer, sound engineer, manager, agent, songwriter, composer, educator, music therapist, and publicist. I also made sure to include "touring," "brand," "stage manager," and "merch manager" because they came up when we watched a short video about what happens behind the scenes at a concert.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the difference between a producer and an engineer or whether an artist manager is the same as an agent. The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've watched a few short career videos. I added a couple simple microphone, guitar, and headphones drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 4th through 6th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one music career from the puzzles and write what they do on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
