Reptiles and Amphibians word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this reptiles and amphibians puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our animal classification unit. The kids kept mixing up which animals were which, especially frogs vs. lizards. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like snake, turtle, frog, toad, lizard, alligator, salamander, and gecko. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary stick.

⭐The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they can never spell "salamander" right on the first try. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple lizard and frog drawings but nothing too busy.

⭐Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one animal and tell me if it's a reptile or amphibian on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
