Enhance the teaching and learning of the beginning sound of letter X with our unique and interactive flower craftivity. This educational tool is designed to facilitate the understanding and recognition of the letter X sound with common, easy to recognize images. Our resource contains three different letter X flower templates to practice both beginning sounds as well as letter recognition. What's Included: There are two different templates that allow students to create a flower focused on recognizing the beginning sound of the letter X. There is one template that allows students to create a flower focused on letter recognition of both capital and lowercase forms of the letter X. Utilizing this Resource: Simply print the flower templates, and then allow the students to color, cut out, and assemble into a flower on colored construction paper. You can also print the flower design onto colored card stock to create a sorting activity . The flower will need to be cut and laminated. This can function as interactive materials in a literacy center, where students can match pictures to the correct letter X flower. Mix and match these with flowers of other letter flower crafts to encourage sorting and classification exercises. Get students engaged with learning about the letter X with this mini foldable alphabet book. The large images makes these books easy for students to color, and the foldable nature of these books product a no prep activity that can easily be assigned to students. What is Included: This resource includes two foldable books for the letter X. Each book includes a cover page and 3 picture pages all with pictures that begin with X. Each page also includes a sentence that reads like "A is for Apple," making it easy to read for beginning readers. There is one book for X at the beginning of the word and one for X at the end of the word. How to Make: Students will color each page of the foldable book. They will then fold the page to make an alphabet book. The student will then read the book to themselves or to another person. When to Use: Independent Practice - Students can be given these mini books to color and work on independently. Homework - This book can be sent home with students so that they can work on beginning reading and letter sounds with their parents. Literacy or Writing Center - Place the page in the center and let students create their own book. Library - The teacher may choose to create this book and add it to the classroom library for students to read during center time. This letter X flipbook is the perfect tool to help preschoolers and kindergarteners learn all about the letter X! The different pages in this flip book allow students to practice recognizing the letter, writing the letter, and identifying words that begin with the letter. What is Included: This flip book has a cover page for students to simply color. The seek and find page practices letter recognition by having students identify capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The find and color page practices letter recognition of the target letter from other letters of the alphabet. Students can use dot markers to mark the letters, they can color in the letter or use stickers to cover the letters. The cut and paste page allows students to work with scissor skills to cut out examples of the letter from either printed materials, like magazines or newspapers, or students can use the letters provided at the bottom of the page. The trace and write page allows students to practice tracing and writing the capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The beginnings sound page has students coloring the pictures that begin with the letter. The trace and draw page has students tracing a word that begins with the letter, then drawing a picture to represent that word. When to Use: Literacy Centers - This flip book can be placed in a literacy center for students to work on identifying the letter. Morning Work - This flip book is a perfect morning work activity. Doing one or two pages each morning, students can finish one flip book a week. Homework - These flip books can be sent home for parents to work with letter recognition with their children.
