Social stories are a key tool for building social-emotional skills in children, especially those with autism or anxiety. Using simple language and a warm tone, these stories walk kids through various social situations and expectations. The story reassures that everyone struggles to listen sometimes. When minds wander, children can practice refocusing on the speaker. Instead of getting upset, take a breath and pay attention again.
