The webpage Class X includes a list of prominent figures for interview-style educational activities . Some of the figures mentioned include Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Adolf Hitler, Cleopatra, Confucius, and many, many others. Each figure is briefly described, and students are encouraged to "interview" them to learn about their lives and achievements - additionally, each figure includes a short biography of accomplishments and history. The list covers a wide range of historical periods and cultures. Students are first introduced to what makes a good interview question and then they are taken through the steps to select 3 historical figures to interview. This game is played like any other Bingo game where students must get five in a row to achieve BINGO. The Bingo can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. It is recommended that you print and cut out the bingo cards, and then laminate each one for repeated use. Students can then use a dry or wet erase marker to mark the card, allowing for easy clean-up. To play the game, the teacher will read the definition and students must mark the corresponding term on their card. When a students shouts BINGO, make sure you have them read their words out loud so that the correct terms were marked. It is possible that they will think they have a BINGO when they really marked the wrong term. This Colors Memory Game is a simple and fun way for children to practice color vocabulary while playing. I created the game for young learners who are just starting to learn colors. It is an easy activity to use in the classroom, in small groups, or at home. The set includes 12 colors and 24 matching pairs in 2 different versions , so you can choose the one that works best for your students or use both for extra practice. The colorful little characters make the game more engaging for young children, while the simple card design keeps the focus on the vocabulary. This engaging activity helps kids practice reading, vocabulary, and visual memory by matching cards. -------------------------------------------------------- How to Play: 1. Print the pages on regular or cardstock paper. (Optional) Laminate the cards for extra durability and long-term use. Cut out the cards along the lines. 2. Lay the cards face down. 3. Players take turns flipping two cards. 4. If the cards match (word + picture or picture + picture), keep the pair and go again. 5. If they don’t, flip them back and let the next player try. 6. Continue until all pairs are found. The player with the most pairs wins! Speaking and Listening Would You Rather Set 3 is the first of 5 sets to engage your students in this game. Speaking and listening are important skills to practice with students. Many students have a hard time sharing their ideas out loud. Would You Rather questions are a great way to get all students involved. You could do just speaking and listening where you put the questions up and students share their answers. You could print out the questions and have students answer in groups. Or, you could have students write answers in complete sentences and then share. Would You Rather questions not only allow students to communicate with each other, it's a great opportunity for students to see who might have common interests. If students complete these in a group setting, there could be some great discussions that students have based on who has the same answers. If you choose to have students stand and give their answer in front of the class, you could have them just say their answer, or you could encourage them to give reasons why. Having them write the sentence first will also help them clearly state their answer.
