With this decodable book, you will practice reading a short story that contains CVCe words and simple sight words. Kindergartners and first graders can gain practice reading words that contain the silent e phonics rule with other words they have already learned. What is Included: There is one emergent reader titled "In the Cage," which includes one cover page and five pages for students to color and read. How to Use: Students will color each page of the book, cut the pages apart, and then assemble the book, making sure the cover page is on top. The subsequent pages can be placed in any order and still be read with meaning. Use a stapler to attach the pages together. The repetitive nature of each page allows students to have success with reading and gives them extra practice with target words!
