Introduction Nowadays, learning mathematics should be one of the most fun experiences for children, so it is important that teachers or parents devise materials or educational games for students or their own children to see mathematics as a useful and didactic tool. That is why on this occasion, I have developed this beautiful proposal to practice multiplication, with a dinosaur theme. 2.Objective. -To make students love mathematics. -To make students see that mathematics is a useful and fun tool. - To achieve that the students learn mathematics and in this case multiplication in a playful and didactic way. 3.Order, outline and stages - Introduce your art class with relaxing music. Next, invite the children to guess what activity is coming up. - Now tell your students that today they will reinforce the topic of multiplication in a playful and educational way. - Ask them to take out their pencils or markers. - Now hand out the worksheets and let the students or your children start solving. - If you want to make this activity more exciting, you can tell them that you will set a timer. 4.Grades or ages This game is designed for children from 7 to 10 years old, especially for children who have already learned multiplication and want to reinforce it. How to apply It is suggested that the teacher or parent, print 1 game for each student, because these activities will be done quickly and in a playful and fun way. Print these activities on an A4 sheet, in color and make sure you have color ink, since it requires a lot of color. Then staple the sheets together and hand them out to your students or children. Reading Intervention programme for Struggling Readers

This is a series of decodable phonic books written for struggling readers. Struggling readers often have gaps in their phonic knowledge or have started to guess. These books help to retrain the child. They start back at the beginning with CVC words to ensure the child can read fluently at this level and to build shattered confidence. Sometimes children think they can read the easy books, but find that they have learnt to guess words which interrupts fluency and excludes them from comprehending what has been read. They build up from CVC words, through consonant blends words with a short vowel sound, to ck, oo words. More are coming! They are useful for reading intervention for older pupils, maybe even those of 11+ who are struggling to read fluently. Pupils should be able to blend fluently and have some phonic knowledge, though it may not be secure. Who are these book for? Older pupils who can read, but who have a reading age well below their chronological age. Such children may struggle to read simple text with accuracy/fluency and thereby lack comprehension. They are not for pupils who are just beginning to read with phonics. Please see my CVC decodable and CVCC readers for books for such pupils. They are convenient enough for parents to use with their children, as well as for use by teachers and private tutors. Outline and steps Start at the beginning with book 1 (the books are labelled by file name, not on the covers so as not to belittle the pupil). Teach the sounds afresh and then let the pupil read the book when you are sure that s/he will succeed. As the pupil reads, assess what further work is needed t help the child progress and provide it. Look for more in this series coming shortly in my store. I am finding more and more such pupils desperate for help. You can help too! It is not hard but just needs a little understanding of the problem. I thought that my pupils would look with disdain at these books. I found the opposite; they were so relieved that at last somebody had actually given them a book they could read! Purpose These books have been written and tried and tested on some of my older pupils (mainly boys I admit), and they have proved very helpful. Most of my pupils have a dyslexic type problem, involving poor processing skills. It is crucial that they build a secure foundation for reading ability to build upon. This book, used as described will help to build that foundation. With appropriate help and these books, they have all made good progress in a reasonable space of time (dependant also on ability as well as teaching). What is included? For each title, a book with reading passages and a fluency chart. Two PowerPoints with supporting teaching resources for books 1 and 2.

This ST fun, Find and Color worksheet for initial blends is STupendous for acquainting children orally with initial consonant blends and helping them develop the necessary phonemic awareness in preparation for more advanced blending work, involving four phonemes. What is included in the pack? One PDF sheet for the ST blend. This is a sample of our pack of 20 activities covering common initial blends which can be found here in one PDF file: less clutter on your computer! What do the worksheets involve? Pupils are instructed to combine the two letters on the worksheet and then look for objects that start with that consonant blend. Then, these items ought to be coloured, leaving the others uncoloured. Children can easily work on the sheet unaided once they have been instructed, although, with those children with special needs, it is strongly suggested that an adult works with the child for maximum benefit. How to use The introduction of the concept of initial blends needs to be done thoroughly. When I work with children, especially those with a special need, I first like to teach children to blend two consonant letters. Then I work on developing the children's phonemic awareness: that being the ability to hear two consonant letters blended at the beginning of a word, easily. This is difficult for some pupils and takes a lot of practice. These worksheets can assist by first encouraging students to blend the two consonant letters and then by helping them to hear the blend at the start of a word. As often as you can, practice blending the letters in each initial blend and encourage the students to follow suit. I find that modelling is key at this stage. Who are the initial blends Find and colour worksheets for? Young learners Those with a special need Due to their non-babyish nature, they can be successfully used with older ESL/EFL pupils. This o or oo? Phonic Game is a listening game to help the child to hear the ‘oo’ sound in words, as different to the ‘o’ sound as some children have difficulty hearing the new ‘oo’ sound. This is a simple oral game for 2 players to help to develop the ability to hear the sounds as separate in words without the need to worry about text yet. No die needed. These children may have auditory processing difficulties, of which there are growing numbers of children. With the recognition of the needs of these children and timely intervention, many can survive school. Sadly without it, they may soon fall behind. If you have a child who cannot hear the graphemes in words easily, then find or make a game to help. This is one such game you can use. Background to why I made this game One of my pupils has a speech delay. When I introduced him to ‘oo’, he tried to sound out the words saying ‘o’ instead of ‘oo’. It was as if ‘oo’ was a foreign sound to him. So, I devised this game to help him to hear the ‘oo’ sound in words he uses frequently in speech. After playing it a few times he is now happily sounding out to read and spell words with the ‘oo’ sound. This game uses only the ‘oo’ sound as heard in ‘moon’. Who can use the 'o' or 'oo' game? Anyone who is teaching a child who shows difficulty in learning to read words with /oo/, trying instead to say /o/.
