In this resource, feelings and emotions take a play on the typical Periodic Table of Chemicals. Instead, this is the Periodic Table Of Emotions. there are 7 color coded categories on this poster. The categories are; love, joy, surprise, anger, fear, disgust, sadness, and anger. The unique part about this poster is it gives students (and adults) the varying degrees of each type of emotion. for example, in anger, there are these different levels of anger; rage, envy, frustration, bad mood and more. For joy there are these words; hope, happiness, ease, desire and more. For sadness, there are these words; disappointment, discouragement, loneliness, boredom, pessimism, and more. For love, there are these words; gratitude, pride, compassion, empathy, sympathy, and more. For fear the words are; shy, dread, nervousness, and more. This emotions chart is suitable for elementary, middle and even high school classrooms. It may even be a great poster to put up in a science classroom alongside the Periodic Table of Chemicals, just for fun. In this resource of growth mindset posters, students will learn the difference between positive and negative thinking. One of the posters has a Success side and a Failure side. Words for the success side are "yes I can", "idea", "do it now", "practice", "be open" and "don't give up". The failure side has these words and phrases; "lost", "fear", "no", "unsure", "give up", "unclear", "I cannot", "I give up", "perplex" and "confuse". This is a great visual for students to see the difference and power in our thinking. The other poster has strategies to change one's thinking from negative to positive. This poster is titled "How To Deal With Negative Thoughts?" The steps to change negative thinking on this posters are 1) Recognize-Recognize negative thoughts. 2) Identify-What triggered the emotion? Reality check; are you ignoring, minimizing or exaggerating? 3) Challenge-Where's the proof? Are my thoughts definitely accurate? Are there other explanations? 4) Reframe-Reframe so your thoughts are no longer negative, personal, permanent or pervasive.
