Bilingual English-Spanish Food word search, scramble and crossword puz
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Bilingual English-Spanish Food word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this bilingual food puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our dual language unit. The kids could name food in English but had no idea what words like manzana, pan, or leche meant in Spanish. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like manzana/apple, pan/bread, leche/milk, agua/water, queso/cheese, pollo/chicken, pescado/fish, arroz/rice, fruta/fruit, verdura/vegetable, huevo/egg, and jugo/juice. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the food vocabulary finally stick in both languages. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether "jugo" and "zumo" both mean juice. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple apple, bread, and milk drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 3rd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite food and label it in both languages on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Word Search Puzzle Worksheet National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Word Search - Classroom Activity This word search helps students learn about an important day in Canadian history. The puzzle has 24 words that relate to truth and reconciliation. Words like "residential," "healing," and "Elder" are hidden in the grid. Teachers can use this on September 30th or during Indigenous studies units. The second page includes a short writing activity. Students can think about what reconciliation means to them. One teacher told me her class had good talks after doing this puzzle. The words were chosen carefully to teach about Indigenous culture in a respectful way. You get two printable pages with an answer key. It works best for grades 4-8. Try pairing it with the book "The Orange Shirt Story" for a complete lesson. The puzzle takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. Some words are easy to find, while others provide more challenge. Word examples: truth survivor language respect Format: PDF Pages: 2 activity sheets + answer key Tip: Have students work in pairs to encourage discussion about the words they find.

National Walking Day word search puzzle worksheet activity
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
National Walking Day word search puzzle worksheet activity National Walking Day Word Search - Get Moving! I made this word search for my 3rd graders last year when we celebrated National Walking Day (first Wednesday in April). It's a simple 2-page PDF with 24 walking-related words hidden in all directions - basic terms like "steps" and "shoes" mixed with health words like "exercise" and "heart." After our morning walk around the school, we used this as a cool-down activity. The kids loved racing to find words while stretching at their desks. I printed the pages on bright blue paper to match our "healthy habits" theme. You get: • Page 1: The word search grid (18x18 letters) • Page 2: Answer key for quick checking I use this for: PE warm-ups Health unit supplements After-walk classroom activities Rainy day movement breaks The words reflect what kids actually experience - "sneakers," "path," "energy" - not just medical terms. Last April, my class got especially excited finding "pedometer" right after we measured our steps! Format: No-frills PDF (2 pages) Teacher Tip: Have students star three words they'll focus on during their next walk!

Lab Safety Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this lab safety puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders at the start of our science year. The kids were excited to do experiments but had no idea why we needed goggles or what to do if something spilled. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like goggles, apron, gloves, safety, hazard, caution, warning, spill, clean up, wash hands, tie back hair, closed toe shoes, no eating, ask teacher, and first aid. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the safety rules stick before we start any hands-on activities. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether you really need goggles for every experiment. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple safety goggles and flask drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers list three lab safety rules on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Grade 3 US Regions word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this US regions puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our geography unit. The kids could name a few states but had no idea how to group them into regions or what made each region different. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, West, region, climate, landform, coast, mountain, plain, forest, desert, farm, and city. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the five regions finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether Texas is in the Southwest or the South. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple state outline and compass drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one state from each region on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Letter C word Scramble puzzle worksheet activity Letter C Word Scramble Worksheet Here's a practical word scramble I use with my kindergarten and first grade students when we're learning the letter C. This 2-page worksheet features 15 simple C words that young learners can unscramble, like "cat," "cup," and "car." I made this last month when my kindergartners needed extra practice with C words. The letters are printed large and clear, perfect for little hands just learning to write. We use it during our phonics rotations - some kids work with partners while others practice independently. You'll find this helpful for: Letter C week activities Beginning sound practice Morning work packets Literacy centers Page 1 has the scrambled words with picture clues (a small drawing of a cow next to "woc"). Page 2 is the answer key for quick checking. I like to print these on colorful paper to make them more engaging. The words progress from easy (3 letters) to harder (4-5 letters): Starting with "can" and "cot" Building up to "clap" and "crab" I've found kids love when we time them to see how many they can solve in 5 minutes. It's become one of our favorite Friday activities! Format: PDF with 2 pages (activity + answers) Teacher tip: Have students circle their favorite C word when they finish!

Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the famous symbols finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about how many stars are on the flag. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple flag, eagle, and bell drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw one US symbol on the back and name it. The kids actually ask for these now.

Composting and Soil Health word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Composting and Soil Health word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this composting and soil health puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our Earth science unit. The kids could name a few things like worms and leaves, but they had no idea what words like compost, decompose, or soil meant when we started learning about how things break down and how soil stays healthy. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like compost, soil, worm, decomposer, moisture, air, carbon, nitrogen, leaf, fruit, vegetable, bin, and layer . Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess, and the scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "decompose" (it's a tricky one) or whether a worm and a mushroom are both decomposers (they are—they always have opinions about it). The crossword I use for partners, and I usually have a simple diagram of a compost bin with its layers nearby for the kids who need the visual support to see the process. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw a compost bin and label its layers on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Feelings Word Search & Color Activity | Printable SEL Game for Kids
ELA, Language Development, ESL, Vocabulary, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Worksheets & Printables, Word Searches, Worksheets
Are you looking for a calming, low-stress activity to help your students practice Social Emotional Learning (SEL) vocabulary? This isn't your typical blocky word search grid! I designed these unique "Find and Color" puzzles to combine vocabulary retention with the relaxing benefits of coloring. What makes this resource unique: Unlike standard square word searches where students simply circle a word, this activity features a circular layout centered around a high-quality, expressive 3D character. Visual Connection: Students look at the character's facial expression to identify the emotion (e.g., Happy, Sad, Angry). Spelling & Focus: They must scan the ring of letters to find the matching word. Fine Motor Practice: Instead of just drawing a line, students color in the outlined letters. This requires more focus and helps improve fine motor control and hand-eye coordination. What is included: This printable PDF contains 10 different emotions. It is a fantastic resource for helping students connect written words to visual social cues. Print these out to add a splash of color to your vocabulary lessons!
