Recycling Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Recycling Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this recycling vocabulary puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our Earth Day unit. The kids knew they were supposed to recycle but couldn't explain what happened after the bin was picked up. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like recycle, reuse, reduce, plastic, glass, paper, metal, cardboard, compost, landfill, bin, sorting, processing, waste, and earth. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a pizza box can go in recycling. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple recycling bin and arrow drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers list three things they can recycle at school on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Quotation Marks word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this quotation marks puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our writing unit. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like quotation marks, quote, dialogue, said, asked, yelled, whispered, inside, outside, comma, period, question mark, exclamation point, speaker, and tag. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the quotation mark rules finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether the comma goes inside or outside the quotation marks. The crossword I use for partners. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the French body part vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether "main" and "doigts" are different. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple body outline and face drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers label three body parts in French on a drawing on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Layers of the Earth word search, scramble and crossword ⭐I made this layers of the Earth puzzle set for my 4th graders during our geology unit. The kids could name "crust" and "core" but kept forgetting the mantle and everything in between. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like crust, mantle, outer core, inner core, magma, lithosphere, tectonic, pressure, and iron. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help it all sink in. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them talking because they argue over whether "lithosphere" is even a real word. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple circle layer drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers label the layers from memory on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Thanking Teachers & Staff word search & scramble
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Word search & scramble puzzle worksheet activities for kids 2nd and 3rd grades to 4th and 5th grades, also solution for the puzzles is included ⭐ This document contains a word search and a word scramble activity. The materials were created during an afternoon when student engagement was low. The objective was to provide an activity that resembled a game while also stimulating cognitive function. The puzzles proved effective in achieving this goal. The PDF document is four pages in length. It includes two puzzles for student use (a word search and a word scramble) and two answer keys. Visual elements are incorporated to enhance engagement without causing distraction. The graphics are designed to be appropriate for the target audience. ⭐ The students in the class find these items enjoyable. They work on them in groups during the morning session, or they are provided to students who complete their work early to occupy their time. The word search activity has also been utilized as a quiet activity following recess. The word scramble activity often initiates discussions, such as the correct form of the word "recycle." The preparation required is minimal. The materials are printed, distributed, and then the students begin the activity. Occasionally, students are instructed to highlight or circle their preferred word and use it in a sentence. This extends the activity beyond simple enjoyment and enhances its educational value.

Bilingual English-Spanish Numbers word search, scramble and crossword
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Bilingual English-Spanish Numbers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this bilingual numbers puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our dual language unit. The kids could count in English but had no idea what words like uno, dos, or tres meant in Spanish. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like uno/one, dos/two, tres/three, cuatro/four, cinco/five, seis/six, siete/seven, ocho/eight, nueve/nine, diez/ten, once/eleven, doce/twelve, trece/thirteen, catorce/fourteen, quince/fifteen, and veinte/twenty. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the number vocabulary finally stick in both languages. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether "quince" sounds like fifteen or not. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple number block and Spanish flag drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 3rd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write the Spanish numbers from one to ten in order on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
