Grade 6 English Grammar Error Correction Worksheets 20 Pages
ELA, Grade 6, Worksheets & Printables
My Grade 6 students used to hand in writing full of the same mistakes over and over — missing capitals, run-on sentences, words they'd spelled a dozen times before. That's honestly why I made this pack. These 20 worksheets give students short sentences to read and fix. The errors are the ones that actually show up in real student writing: capitalization slips, punctuation gaps, spelling mistakes, and sentences that just don't quite hang together. Nothing abstract — just the stuff they need to notice and fix. I've used these in so many different ways over the years: as a warm-up at the start of class, something to finish early with, a homework sheet, a quick review before a writing task. They work equally well for the whole class or for a student who needs a bit of extra practice without feeling singled out. No prep involved — just print and hand out. Students can work through them on their own or you can go over them together. Either way, the repetition builds good habits, and after a while you really do start seeing fewer of those familiar errors in their writing.
