Daily Routines Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this daily routines vocabulary puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our morning meeting and life skills unit. The kids could tell me what they did each day but had no idea what words like routine, morning, or evening meant when we talked about daily schedules. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, go to school, learn, eat lunch, play, go home, do homework, eat dinner, bathe, read a book, and go to sleep. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the daily routine vocabulary finally stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether brushing teeth should be in the morning or night. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple clock, toothbrush, and bed drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for K through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write their daily routine in order on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
