Food Webs word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this food web puzzle set for my 4th graders during our ecosystems unit. The kids understood predators and prey but got lost when we talked about producers, consumers, and decomposers all together. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like producer, consumer, decomposer, herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, predator, prey, and energy. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up "herbivore" and "omnivore" sometimes. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple sun and arrow drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick three words and draw a tiny food web on the back using them. The kids actually ask for these now.
