Future Careers in AI and Technology word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this future careers in AI and technology puzzle set for my 4th graders during our career exploration unit. The kids could name a few jobs like coder and gamer, but they had no idea about the incredible range of roles that already exist today—or what words like machine learning, algorithm, or ethics meant when we talked about how AI actually works. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using careers like Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Ethicist, Computer Vision Engineer, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer, plus key tech terms like algorithm, data, bias, transparency, and automation.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess, and the scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "algorithm" (it's a tricky one) or whether an AI Ethicist is a real job (it is—someone has to make sure AI is fair and not biased, and the kids always have opinions about it). The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've watched a few short career videos. I added a couple simple robot, computer, and brain drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one AI career from the puzzles and write what they do on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
