⭐I made this herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores puzzle set for my 3rd graders during our animal diet unit. The kids kept mixing up which animal eats what, especially with omnivores. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, teeth, plants, meat, both, bear, cow, lion, and human. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help them sort it out in their heads.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them talking because they argue over whether a bear belongs in two categories. The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple paw print and leaf drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick one animal from each category and write it on the back. The kids actually enjoy these.
