This resource is a Moral of the Story Graphic Organizer.
Students can use this graphic organizer when they are reading a text.
It allows students to write out the plot of the story.
At the bottom, students will write what they think is the moral of the story and they can provide text evidence to support it.
This can be printed in color or black and white.

Plot sequencing — students separate a story into its Beginning, Middle and End in three distinct labeled spaces (pages 1-2).
Theme/moral identification — students state what they judge to be the moral of the story in a dedicated Moral column (pages 1-2).
Evidence-based reasoning — students cite specific text evidence to support the moral they identified, using the paired Text Evidence column (pages 1-2).
