This is a mini book and they get to tell all about themselves and their family.

Includes:

They are printed 2 per page. So it is easy to print, staple, and cute 2 booklets at the same time. Takes less than 10 minutes to prep a class set.

Also includes an option to print one page per sheet. This is ideal for the younger grade levels.

Students compose short informative sentences about their own family by filling in blanks with names, numbers, foods, and traditions.

Teaching tips

Use the two-per-page version (pages 2-16) for a fast class set, since two mini books print, staple, and cut from a single sheet pass.
Use the one-page-per-sheet version (pages 17-30) for younger students, since each prompt gets a full page of writing space rather than a half-page.

Skills covered

Informative sentence writing — students fill in blanks to complete facts about their family (headcount, origin, parents' names) across nine prompts.
Combining drawing and writing — the 'picture of my family' page pairs a drawing task directly with a numeric fill-in sentence.
