About this resource
What's inside this resource
This is a Handwriting Practice Booklet. The file comes as a PDF that can be printed and stapled into a handwriting booklet. What is great about this booklet is that each page provides many opportunities for students to practice writing each letter. Other booklets provide a few opportunities for practice on each page. Each letter has numbers and arrows to guide students on how to write the letter, this helps students know where to start and end.

Teaching tips & learning objectives
Learning objectives
Form each letter of the alphabet, uppercase and lowercase, following numbered directional strokes and a marked starting point.
Practice both capital and lowercase letterforms for every letter, either on separate pages or combined on one page per letter.
Build handwriting fluency through repeated, guided tracing practice across a complete run of the alphabet.
Teaching tips
Match the amount of visual support to student need: Print Options 1 and 2 include full directional arrows and starting points, while Options 3 and 4 show only a starting point for students who need less scaffolding.
Have students write their name on the title page before starting each of the four booklet versions so completed sets stay organized.
Use Print Options 2 and 4 (capital and lowercase combined on one page per letter) for a faster review, and Options 1 and 3 (one page per letter) when students need more practice space.
Skills covered
Letter formation — students trace each letter following numbered directional arrows and a marked starting point across all 26 letters.
Uppercase/lowercase distinction — students practice capital and lowercase forms of each letter, either on separate pages (Options 1 and 3) or combined on one page (Options 2 and 4).
Handwriting fluency — repeated practice across four scaffolding levels, from fully guided arrows down to a single starting point.
