Pride Month Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this Pride Month vocabulary puzzle set for my 4th and 5th graders during our June unit. The kids had heard of Pride but had no idea what words like equality, respect, or identity meant when we talked about inclusion and celebration. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Pride, equality, respect, identity, courage, inclusion, love, community, support, diversity, celebration, June, and freedom. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the Pride Month vocabulary finally stick in an age-appropriate way.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the meaning of equality and why it matters. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple rainbow and heart drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one way to show respect to everyone on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
