Teaching tips & learning objectives
Teaching tips
Pick one treatment per message before printing — each phrase is supplied three times over, and printing more than one set of the same wording wastes paper and ink.
Check the capitalisation you want on the Hello Summer sets, since the three versions differ from one another in which letters are capitals.
Type over the NAME placeholders in the PowerPoint file rather than handwriting tags, and choose the one-per-page layout for door tags and the six-per-page layout for desk or cubby labels.
Skills covered
Display lettering assembly — a teacher prints the letters for one message, cuts them out and arranges them across a door or board.
Name-tag personalisation — student names are typed into the NAME placeholders in the PowerPoint file before printing, at one of three tag sizes.
Seasonal classroom styling — one kit supplies three interchangeable summer messages plus matching artwork pages, so a room can be restyled without mixing sources.

Questions teachers ask about this resource
How many lettering versions of each message are supplied?
Three of each. Surfin' Into Summer!, Summer Vibes! and Hello Summer! are each laid out three separate times in different treatments, and the three Hello Summer versions also differ in capitalisation.
How are the surfboard name tags laid out for printing?
Three ways. One slide holds a single large tag, the next holds two tags side by side, and the third holds six tags in a grid, so the same design covers door signs, cubby labels and desk tags.
