⭐I made this grassland biome puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our habitats unit. The kids remembered the rainforest and ocean but kept mixing up grasslands with deserts. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like savanna, prairie, zebra, lion, giraffe, elephant, grass, herd, and dry season. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them talking because they argue over how to spell "giraffe" or forget the double letters. The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple grass and sun drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick one animal and write what it eats on the back. The kids actually enjoy these.
