The Wetland Biome word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this wetland biome puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our habitats unit. The kids liked learning about swamps and marshes but got bored when I asked them to memorize vocabulary. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like marsh, swamp, bog, frog, turtle, duck, heron, cattail, and wetland. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to keep them working without complaining.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue over how to spell "cattail" or whether "dragonfly" is one word. The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple water and cattail drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick one animal and one plant from the puzzles and write a sentence about how they live in a wetland. That's it.
