Yoga and Stretching Terms word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this yoga and stretching puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our physical education unit. The kids could do a stretch but had no idea what words like pose, flexibility, or breathe meant. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like yoga, pose, stretch, breathe, flexibility, balance, strength, calm, relax, focus, body, mind, tree pose, downward dog, child's pose, warrior, mountain, mat, class, and instructor. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the yoga vocabulary finally stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether yoga is a real sport. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple yoga pose stick figures and mat drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one yoga pose on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
