This beginning sound sort for the letter T is a great hands on activity for recognizing the most common sound of the letter T. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter T sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at a picture on a turkey to determine if the picture begins with the letter T or does not begin with the letter T, and then the students will place the turkey on the correct field mat. This letter L flipbook is the perfect tool to help preschoolers and kindergarteners learn all about the letter L! The different pages in this flip book allow students to practice recognizing the letter, writing the letter, and identifying words that begin with the letter. What is Included: This flip book has a cover page for students to simply color. The seek and find page practices letter recognition by having students identify capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The find and color page practices letter recognition of the target letter from other letters of the alphabet. Students can use dot markers to mark the letters, they can color in the letter or use stickers to cover the letters. The cut and paste page allows students to work with scissor skills to cut out examples of the letter from either printed materials, like magazines or newspapers, or students can use the letters provided at the bottom of the page. The trace and write page allows students to practice tracing and writing the capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The beginnings sound page has students coloring the pictures that begin with the letter. The trace and draw page has students tracing a word that begins with the letter, then drawing a picture to represent that word. When to Use: Literacy Centers - This flip book can be placed in a literacy center for students to work on identifying the letter. Morning Work - This flip book is a perfect morning work activity. Doing one or two pages each morning, students can finish one flip book a week. Homework - These flip books can be sent home for parents to work with letter recognition with their children. Small Group Activity - Students who need extra help with identifying letters and sounds can work with the teacher in a small group setting.

This activity is a Syllable Sort Activity Pack. Pocket Chart Activity Students will say the word and determine if it has 1, 2, or 3 syllables and place it in the correct column. Materials Needed: There are a set of color cards to print as well as a header and column numbers for the pocket chart It is best used with a pocket chart wide enough for three columns. Worksheets: The first worksheet includes pictures for students to look at and determine how many syllables are in the word. The words are one, two or three syllables long.
