When to Use Early Finishers - If students finish their work early, they can use these reading rings for extra practice. Small Group Work - Teachers can use these reading rings to target small groups of students who need more practice reading words with suffixes. Independent Practice - Students can work independently at their desks to read this set of suffix cards. Morning Work - Students can read and review this reading ring for morning work as their classmates arrive to class. How to Make: Teachers will print out the pages and cut each card apart. Once cut apart, the teacher can choose to laminate the cards for durability. Then, use a hole punch to punch a hole in the top left corner of the card. Place the cards on a ring to create your reading ring, making sure the cover card is on top. With this ED words CVC word sentence and picture matching literacy center , students can practice reading comprehension and reading fluency. This reading comprehension activity uses decodable sentences, with words that follow the CVC spelling rule, as well as bold, easy to recognize pictures to match or sort. This ED Word Family packet includes: This resource includes as set of sentence cards that focus on ED words and early sight words. Each sentence has a colorful picture to match the sentence. How to Use this Resource: In this literacy activity, students will read each sentence on each card, and then they will match the sentence to the correct image. This activity will make a great literacy station for kindergartners and first graders who are learning CVC words and reading comprehension. This literacy activity allows students to receive tons of practice reading ED words in the context of sentences.
