Sports Patterns Center

Get students engaged with copying and continuing patterns with these sports themed patterning cards. This set of cards words with AB, AAB, ABB, and AABB patterns. The sports theme will entice students to want to do this activity over and over! What is Included: This packet includes none copying and continuing the pattern cards with a ball theme. There are also ball cards students can use to copy and complete each pattern. How to Use: Students will choose one of the patterning cards available. They will then use the ball cards to copy the pattern on the card and then they will continue the pattern out until all the ball pieces are used. Students may also use the ball cards to create their own unique patterns. When to Use: Math Center - Place the pattern cards and ball cards in a math center for students to work alone or with a partner to copy and complete each pattern. Morning Activity - The teacher can place the cards into a morning tub or bin for students to complete while waiting on their classmates to arrive to class. Quiet time Activity - Particularly used in a preschool room, these cards make a great quiet activity to provide for non-nappers. Small Group Activity - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra help identifying, copying, and continuing patterns to use these cards. Skills Assessed Students will demonstrate the ability to copy a pattern as well as the ability to continue that pattern. The low prep nature of this center allows teachers to easily get this activity ready for student use. Simply print and cut the cards apart to place them in the desired classroom location. The cards can easily be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage.

Letter G Flower Craft

Enhance the teaching and learning of the beginning sound of letter G with our unique and interactive flower craftivity. This educational tool is designed to facilitate the understanding and recognition of the letter G sound with common, easy to recognize images. Our resource contains three different letter G flower templates to practice both beginning sounds as well as letter recognition. What's Included: There are two different templates that allow students to create a flower focused on recognizing the beginning sound of the letter G. There is one template that allows students to create a flower focused on letter recognition of both capital and lowercase forms of the letter G. Utilizing this Resource: Simply print the flower templates, and then allow the students to color, cut out, and assemble into a flower on colored construction paper. You can also print the flower design onto colored card stock to create a sorting activity . The flower will need to be cut and laminated. This can function as interactive materials in a literacy center, where students can match pictures to the correct letter G flower.
