This resource was specifically designed to increase engagement amongst your little learners through the enjoyment of music and song. What You Get: A 13-page printable PDF complete with everything you need to complete this activity. How to Use the 5 Little Speckled Frogs Carpet Time Song: This fun frog song (rhyme, poem) for carpet time is one of my students’ favorites! It works great for a camping, forest, woods, animals, or back to school thematic unit. This is a great activity for teaching students to take away and to recognize numbers to 5. A black and white version is included so that students can create their own 5 little speckled frogs to sing about. I have included large class sized frogs to put on the board or into the middle of the carpet, small frogs and a small log that you could put on popsicle sticks or magnets for a whole class or center activity, and individual student cards so that they can have five frogs in front of them as you are singing the song as a class. To Prep: Print, cut, and laminate the frogs of your choice and instructions. To Play: Set frogs out in the middle of the carpet or place them on a whiteboard with magnets attached. Five little speckled frogs Sat on a speckled log Eating some most delicious bugs YUM! YUM! One jumped into the pool Where it was nice and cool. Now there were four green speckled frogs. GLUB! GLUB! Continue until all the frogs are gone. I ask students to hold up the number of fingers that matches how many frogs we have after each round. You can also write it on the whiteboard if you are using the frogs on magnets! I hope you enjoy!!

These food themed number cards are perfect for students who are learning with a breakfast theme. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the number. What is Included: This set includes one number card and one number word card for all numbers up to 20. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the numbers to their number words. Attach a paper clip to a number card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the numbers for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the numbers or number words on each card. Have students find the numbers that you have hidden around the room for a fun number hunt. Place the number cards in numerical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the numbers. The students will guess which number the hidden picture is behind. Add objects so students can count to the number on the card. When to Use: Math Center - Place the cards in a math center for students to match independently or with a partner. This is one reason we like to incorporate music in our learning environments. We don’t have to limit music to music class only for our students. In my store, you’ll find a wide array of music resources that students will love to learn from. What You Get: This is a music video for your math students in 3rd – 4th grade. The title of this song is “I'm A Triangle.”This is a song and video that will teach students more about triangles. This video provides explanations and many examples to support student learning. You can implement this video at the introduction of teaching this math skill. The objective is for students to identify different types of triangles. This would be a song that I play multiple times for my students across the course of this unit . World Poetry Day Word Find (2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade): Activity Worksheet The World Poetry Day Word Find Worksheets provide students with a fun and creative way to learn about poetry and creative writing. This project is aimed at elementary students (grades 2-5) and is appropriate for teaching reading and language arts. The range of words included in the word find includes the following: "stanza" " rime" "ryme" etc. These words give students exposure to many different aspects of poetry, as they attempt to find them in a fun and interactive manner. If you want to give students extra practice with patterns, I have just the resource for you. What You Get: This is a Number Sequences Activity Setthat was designed for elementary students who are working on or have mastered this skill. It also works well as a review for students. There are 2 separate PDFs included: - Worksheet with 3 activity problems - Answer key How To Implement This Resource: You can print off enough copies of the worksheet for each student to have. You may also choose to print only a few copies and laminate those. If you choose to laminate them, students can use dry erase markers to solve the problems. This is a great activity to place into a math center or small group activity . The activities included are: 1. What’s the rule? – There are 16 questions. Students will look at each sequence to determine if the numbers are increasing or decreasing and by how many. 2. Missing Number Sequences – There are 14 questions.
