There are three different fluency practice pages that all focus on learning to recognize, spell, and read the target sight word in context. Here is a simple game to help children learn to read CVC words with the medial sound A. This game will help your child to learn to blend three-letter words with the short vowel ‘a’. That means, to put sounds together to make a word. The child has to be able to feel and hear the word that is being sounded out. This game is supplied in both colour and black and white - you choose how you print! We suggest laminating the pieces for durability. Who is the CVC Words Phonic Matching Game: A for? Those who are just beginning to sound out/blend CVC words with the A short vowel sound. These may be: Young learners Special needs learners ESL/EFL learners of any age. Who can use the CVC Words Phonic Matching Game: A? Parents Homeschoolers/home educators Teachers in class, or for use in centers Those involved in intervention work Private tutors How can the CVC Words Phonic Matching Game: A be used? This sight word emergent reader packet contains three different sight word reading books that help differentiate sight word instruction. This emergent reader focuses on the sight word: come. Books Included: Reading Fluency - With this book, students simply read each simple sentence and color the picture. Write and Read - Students will color the picture, write the target sight word, then read the sentences. Trace and Read - Students will color the picture, trace the target sight word, then read the sentences. This book allows students to read simple sentences with the target sight word. The different books available help support students of various levels of be successful with reading and writing sight words. How to Make: Teachers will print out the pages and give them to the students to color, write and trace. They will then cut the pages apart and staple them together to create their book. When to Use: Literacy Center - These emergent readers can be used in literacy center for students to practice these sight words. Homework - These emergent readers can be sent home from homework so parents can assist students in learning their sight words. Independent Practice - These emergent readers make great independent practice for students learning sight words. Sub Plans - Since these emergent readers have easy to follow directions, they make great activities to leave with substitutes. Solve Linear Equations Domino Game

This file is a domino game for students to practice solving linear equations. The equations include variables on both sides of the equation, fractions and decimals, parenthesis, and negative numbers. Solutions include "no solution" and infinitely many solutions." Teacher Directions: Make copies of the dominoes on colored card stock, cut apart, and place in bags. You will need one bag for every 3 students. Place students in groups of 3. Students will divide the dominoes equally and lay them down face UP in front of them. The student with the "START HERE" domino will place it in the middle. Students will play matching dominoes one at a time. So, they will not play in order and a student could possible play twice in a row. If a student places an incorrect match, the student that calls attention to that fact, AND can explain WHY it is incorrect, can give one of their dominoes to the player that was incorrect. If every player says they do not have the next match, then players will look at their opponent’s dominoes and find the match. The player that finds the correct match from another player and can explain WHY it is the correct match can give one of their dominoes to that opponent. ONLY ONE domino can be placed on another domino even though there could be more than one to match. Exception: If no dominos match the last domino played, then a player may place a second domino on one that is already in play. The player with the most dominos can make this play. The player that gets rid of all of their dominoes first is the winner. Students should show all of their work on notebook paper and turn in at the end of the game.
