So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like probability, certain, impossible, likely, unlikely, equally likely, chance, event, outcome, predict, fraction, percent, possible, random, and experiment. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the probability terms finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether the probability of flipping heads on a coin is 1/2 or 50%. The crossword I use for partners.
