Triangles word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Triangles word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Triangles word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this triangles puzzle set for my 4th graders during our geometry unit. The kids could point to a triangle but had no idea there were different types based on sides or angles. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like triangle, side, angle, vertex, equilateral, isosceles, scalene, acute triangle, right triangle, obtuse triangle, congruent, equal, sum, 180 degrees, and polygon. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the triangle vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether an equilateral triangle can also be a right triangle. The crossword I use for partners with picture clues. I added a couple simple triangle drawings with labeled sides and angles but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name the three types of triangles by sides on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally make sense. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether Rosa Parks was tired or making a planned protest. The crossword I use for partners. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a helicopter is safer than a plane. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple car, bus, and airplane drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite way to travel on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.rtation Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Arctic Animals word search, scramble and crossword

Arctic Animals word search, scramble and crossword

Arctic Animals word search, scramble and crossword ⭐I made this arctic animals puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our winter habitats unit. The kids loved talking about polar bears and penguins (I know penguins are Antarctica — they corrected me later) but got bored with regular vocabulary review. So I threw together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like polar bear, walrus, seal, arctic fox, caribou, snowy owl, and iceberg. Nothing fancy. ⭐ The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them arguing over how to spell "caribou" and whether "musk ox" is one word or two. The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple snowflake and bear drawings but nothing distracting. ⭐ Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick one animal and draw a small picture next to its name. The kids actually like these.

Famous Composers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Famous Composers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Famous Composers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this famous composers puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our music unit. The kids could hum Beethoven's 5th and Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" but had no idea who wrote the music we listened to in class or how to connect the names to the pieces. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using names like Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Gershwin, Handel, Haydn, Joplin, Liszt, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi. I also threw in a few lesser-known but important names like Clara Schumann and Scott Joplin to broaden the mix. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or when the music class gets a bit too loud. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about how to spell "Tchaikovsky" or whether "Bach" rhymes with "rock" or "lock" (still not settled, honestly). The crossword works better for partners, and I've even used it as a simple sub plan when I'm out for a music PD day. I added a couple simple music note, treble clef, and piano key drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one composer from the puzzles and write one fact about them—like where they were born or one famous piece they wrote—on the back. The kids actually ask for these now, and it beats having them just stare at the composer posters on the wall.

Animation Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this animation vocabulary puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our media unit. The kids loved cartoons but had no idea what words like frame, cel, or stop motion meant when we talked about how animation is created. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like animation, frame, cel, cell, stop motion, claymation, computer animation, CGI, flipbook, character, background, movement, lip sync, voice actor, storyboard, render, and frame rate. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the animation vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or during indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether stop motion and claymation are the same thing. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple cartoon character and film strip drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one animated movie they love and the type of animation used on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Secondary Source Terms word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this secondary source terms puzzle set for my 4th graders during our social studies unit. The kids could read about history in books but had no idea what words like secondary source, summary, or interpretation meant when we talked about how historians retell the past. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like secondary source, summary, interpretation, textbook, biography, essay, documentary, analysis, and scholar. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the secondary source vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a documentary is a primary or secondary source. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple book, film reel, and scholar drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one example of a secondary source they have used on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
