Beginning letter sounds open this Level 2, Ages 4+ phonics workbook from Twin Sisters IP, with repeated pages asking students to name a pictured object and circle the letter for its beginning sound. The workbook then works through each short vowel in turn — a, e, i, o, u — pairing a "color the pictures with this sound" page with a "write the missing letter to complete each word" page for that vowel, before moving into mixed short-vowel review pages, missing-vowel fill-ins across vowels, circle-the-correct-word items, and picture-to-word matching games. Activities use short words such as bag, dish, fox, and bus to practice the target sounds.
