Four fill-in-the-blank pages drill the irregular French verbs prendre and boire, split evenly between two tenses. One pair of pages practices the present tense (or infinitive after a helping verb), with 25 everyday sentences each, such as "Mes amis et moi ____ le bus ensemble tous les matins" for prendre and "Tu ____ du thé glacé pendant l'été?" for boire. A second pair practices the same 25 sentence structures in the passé composé, requiring students to supply the correct auxiliary verb and past participle, such as "J'ai pris mon temps pour manger un bon repas à midi" and "Nous avons bu des boissons chaudes au café." The sentences use everyday contexts, including food, drink and travel. Each of the four exercise pages is paired with its own full answer key.
