La subordonnée complétive: Explications et exercices corrigés teaching resource preview

La subordonnée complétive: Explications et exercices corrigés

La subordonnée complétive conjonctive — the French subordinate clause introduced by "que" — is explained through a structure diagram (proposition principale + que + subordonnée), example sentences grouped by verbs of perception, opinion, and volition, and a tense-concordance chart contrasting the indicative and subjunctive moods. Four exercises follow: the first asks students to underline the subordinate clause and box its conjunction across five sentences, the second has students rewrite five sentences replacing a noun-phrase direct object with a full subordinate clause, and the third requires conjugating verbs correctly in the indicative or subjunctive mood within completive clauses, and the fourth combines sentences. Each pair of exercises is followed by a "Corrigé" answer key, and all instructional text and exercises are written entirely in French, credited to "French with Paul David" on each page. Students who need more practice choosing between the two moods before tackling completive clauses can work through a subjunctive vs. indicative French practice set that isolates the choice across forty sentences.

Label a Diagram teaching resource preview

Label a Diagram

Twenty-four different everyday objects and scenes are each set up as a labeling diagram with a word bank of five to seven part names above an unlabeled picture, covering subjects such as a computer, a sink, school supplies, glasses, the human body, a book, a dog, a door, a shoe, a staircase, a toothbrush, clothing, a car, ice cream, a work bench, a bed, an outdoor scene, fruit, headphones, nature, a beach, a bicycle, a fish, and a ladybug. Students write each word bank term next to the matching part of the picture, practicing both vocabulary and part-to-whole spatial identification across a wide range of everyday and nature topics. A complete answer key at the end of the file gives the correct label placement for all twenty-four diagrams.
